Au Revoir Paris
Paris days are done for now. It’s been rad. I’ll miss everything about you and yearn for you until I’m back again, in your messy streets passing by your gilded monuments and buttered pastries. BISOUS

As the great Space Invader says, the Game is Over. Frolicking in Paris is nearly done and it is time to move onwards, to leave behind the kirs and the canal. Je serais de retour beintot mon amour. Game is on pause.

On the ground at the Marché aux Puces in the outskirts of Paris, a lonely little guy faceplanted, with only his shoes to shield him. Though those shoes are mighty cute. Kindof want a pair for this moi.

The French are known for their appreciation of life and living it. This gallery is called the slow down, for art and thinking. Wonderful to be in a place that values the simple pleasures of the day to day.

A little bit of Japanese springtime in Paris - Sakura tea at the Mariage Freres store in the Marais! Sakura = Japanese cherry blossom. Though the taste does not do justice to the stunning glory of full bloom.

I was gettin fancy one afternoon when en route to Place Vendôme when I passed La Madeleine and was drawn inside by its epic stature. I kindof love how dirty it is, all iconic and covered in smut.

The Buttes Chaumont is not a traditional french garden. Au contraire, instead it takes on the English tradition of the picturesque - a simulated natural that allows for wandering and discovery.

This cabaret in Belleville seems to embody all of the gritty Parisian charm that lives on the hill of the other half. A mannequin is stationed on the balcony looking down while the zebra prances. oui.

My grandmother makes the most amazing cookies in the whole world. says everyone, probably. No but really, hers are so good - not too sweet, with a chocolate swirl, perfect for dipping into a hot tea.

Montmartre has a way of being completely touristy but also totally adorable despite it. The tiny winding streets that lead to Sacre Coeur still hold their charm and offer a different side of Paris not to miss.

This wonderful boulangerie was right on my way to work, making it all too easy to stop and get a pain au chocolat in the mornings. There was always a line of patrons waiting for some delicacy, but it was worth it.

Is anything more quintessentially francais than an escargot? And I literally found one crossing the street while en route to my grandma’s house. Slowly trudgin’ along with his home on his back.

Kawaii meets Paris. This totally Japanese crepe place in Paris could have transplanted straight from Tokyo. Do they taste French or Japanese? (The latter implying there will be a lot of whipped cream involved).

Sometimes, the cool hangouts of Paris can be hard to find. This amazing bar / cafe / hangout / cinema / library / garden / and all around awesome hidden funhouse is one hundred percent worth searching for.

The French understand breakfast and the value of simplicity. A soft boiled egg, a fresh baguette, butter and jam. Don’t forget the noisette and a ‘smooosie’ to wash it all down. C’est parfait. Bon app!
