On the ground at the Marché aux Puces in the outskirts of Paris, a lonely little guy faceplanted, with only his shoes to shield him. Though those shoes are mighty cute. Kindof want a pair for this moi.

A little bit of Japanese springtime in Paris - Sakura tea at the Mariage Freres store in the Marais! Sakura = Japanese cherry blossom. Though the taste does not do justice to the stunning glory of full bloom.

I was gettin fancy one afternoon when en route to Place Vendôme when I passed La Madeleine and was drawn inside by its epic stature. I kindof love how dirty it is, all iconic and covered in smut.

The Buttes Chaumont is not a traditional french garden. Au contraire, instead it takes on the English tradition of the picturesque - a simulated natural that allows for wandering and discovery.

This cabaret in Belleville seems to embody all of the gritty Parisian charm that lives on the hill of the other half. A mannequin is stationed on the balcony looking down while the zebra prances. oui.

My grandmother makes the most amazing cookies in the whole world. says everyone, probably. No but really, hers are so good - not too sweet, with a chocolate swirl, perfect for dipping into a hot tea.

Montmartre has a way of being completely touristy but also totally adorable despite it. The tiny winding streets that lead to Sacre Coeur still hold their charm and offer a different side of Paris not to miss.

This wonderful boulangerie was right on my way to work, making it all too easy to stop and get a pain au chocolat in the mornings. There was always a line of patrons waiting for some delicacy, but it was worth it.

The French understand breakfast and the value of simplicity. A soft boiled egg, a fresh baguette, butter and jam. Don’t forget the noisette and a ‘smooosie’ to wash it all down. C’est parfait. Bon app!

This Keith Hering inspired street art was on my way to a cool hangout near the Canal St. Martin, Le Carillon. Tons of afterwork kir sippers and beer drinkers gather at this corner bar every evening. C’est la vie.

Gold Platforms on a Vespa
